Getting Started
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Unlike a physical SIM card, it can be programmed and activated without inserting any hardware. You simply receive a QR code, scan it with your phone camera, and your eSIM activates within seconds. It's supported by all modern iPhones (XS and newer) and most Android devices from 2020 onwards.
Most modern smartphones support eSIM. Compatible devices include: iPhone XS/XR and all newer models (including SE 2nd gen+), Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, iPad Pro 2018+, iPad Air 2019+, and most 2020+ Android flagship phones. To check: on iPhone go to Settings → Cellular; on Android go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager. If you see "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan", your device is compatible.
Activation is very simple and takes about 2 minutes. After your order is confirmed, you'll receive a QR code by email. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add Cellular Plan → Use QR Code → scan. Android: Settings → Connections/Network → SIM Manager → Add eSIM → Scan QR code. Enable the new eSIM plan and set it as your data line. That's it — you're connected!
Plans & Pricing
Our unlimited plans provide generous high-speed data access perfect for typical travel use including web browsing, maps, social media, video calls, and streaming. All unlimited plans are subject to fair usage policies — after a high-speed data threshold (typically 5–20GB depending on destination), network speeds may be reduced during peak congestion periods. This is standard for all unlimited mobile plans globally. For most travelers, this has no practical impact.
Yes! All TravelConnect eSIM plans support mobile hotspot (tethering). You can share your data connection with laptops, tablets, and other devices. Perfect for remote workers and business travelers.
Your plan starts when you first use data on your eSIM (i.e., when you connect to a local network at your destination). If you install the eSIM before your trip but haven't connected yet, the plan timer has not started. However, once you arrive and your eSIM connects to a network, the validity period begins.
Number & WhatsApp
Yes! Our eSIM is a data-only SIM that provides internet connectivity. Your existing physical SIM card (with your regular phone number) continues to work simultaneously. You keep receiving calls and SMS on your normal number. WhatsApp, iMessage, and all apps that use your existing number continue to work perfectly.
Yes — WhatsApp works perfectly! Since WhatsApp uses your existing phone number (tied to your physical SIM), it continues to work with the new eSIM's data connection. Your contacts can still reach you, your chats are intact, and you can make WhatsApp calls over the eSIM data.
Delivery & Support
Your eSIM QR code is delivered to your email instantly after payment confirmation — typically within 5–15 minutes. You can purchase an eSIM even on the day of your flight. We recommend purchasing 24 hours before departure so you have time to install it while on WiFi before you land.
First, check your spam/junk folder. If you still haven't received it within 30 minutes after payment, contact us at support@yourdomain.com with your order ID and we'll resend it immediately.
Refunds
Yes, refunds are available under these conditions: (1) Your eSIM QR code has NOT been scanned or activated, AND (2) You request the refund within 30 days of purchase. Once your eSIM QR code has been scanned and activated — even if you haven't used any data — we cannot issue a refund as the eSIM profile has been consumed. Technical
Yes! Modern smartphones with Dual SIM/eSIM support allow you to use your physical SIM alongside the eSIM simultaneously. You keep your regular number active on the physical SIM for calls and SMS, while using the eSIM for data abroad. On iPhone this is called "Dual SIM" mode.
Each eSIM QR code is tied to one device. Once scanned, it cannot be transferred to another device. If you need eSIMs for multiple devices (family, team), please purchase the required quantity during checkout.
